The Expandables 3 - Movie Review

Movie Review:

The Expendables 3, is the battle between the two founders of “Expendables team” Barney (Sylvester Stallone) & Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson). After leaving Expendables team, Stonebacks has now become an cruel arm trader and wants to finish off the Expendables. This time around Barney forms a super blend team of traditional war horses Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Knife Expert Doctor (Wesley Snipes) and Toll Road (Randy Couture) with 4 new members who are younger, fitter, agile and armed with latest technology.

With so many superstars to manage, Patrick Hughes has done a nice job as Director. Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham performed well as Senior Pros of the pack showcasing the quality of their acting. Arnold, Jet Li, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz and Wesley Snipes did what they were asked for. The most appealing characters were Mel Gibson as Stonebanks, the Villain and Antonio Banderas with his comic timing, which kept us engaged.

Similar to Expendables (2010) and Expendables 2 (2012), Expendables 3 is loaded with action stars, super stunts, big explosions and high-voltage fight scenes. The Expendables 3 is a sequel, but still delivers refreshing action, adventure and a bit of much needed humor. We can grade it slightly better then the First Two Expendables.

The Bottom Line: The Expendables 3 will appeal more to fans of old action thrillers. It offers just what we expect from an Expendables movie, while entering the theatres. It is strictly a fun and popcorn movie. Don’t’ expect an enthralling Storyline.
