Tanu Weds Manu Returns - Movie Review

Movie Review:

After happily getting married in Tanu Weds Manu (2011), four years later Tanu (Kangana Ranaut) and Manu (R. Madhavan) are fed-up of each other’s company and are on the verge of getting divorced in London. Both return to their home in India to search a better and happy life. Tanu meets Raja Awasthi (Jimmy Shergill) her ex-boyfriend, while Manu gets interested in a Haryanvi girl Kusum, an athlete (Who looks like Tanu). The story is fast-paced, emotional and engaging. Ultimately, true love prevails.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is all about brilliant performance from Kangana Ranaut. She is breathtaking in both her roles as Tanu and Kusum. The best acting from Kangana so far in her Bollywood journey. Madhavan does his job with utmost ease as Sharmaji. He plays the perfect foil for Tanu and Kusum. Deepak Dobriyal as Pappi is absolutely funny and plays one of the pivotal role in the movie. His few dialogues will ROFL you. Jimmy Shergill as Raja Awasthi does well as an intense guy and comes up with some impressive punch lines.

Anand Rai does a remarkable job in getting the crew of Tanu Weds Manu (2011) together and making such marvelous flick. Songs are entertaining, special mention to Saroj Khan for her delightful choreography. Background music and visual effects simple and effective.

The Bottom Line: Tanu Weds Manu Returns is one of the finest movie of 2015, and certainly much better then its prequel. Movie not to be missed!
