Dum Laga Ke Haisha - Movie Review

Movie Review:

Dum Laga ke Haisha is a story of an unmatched married couple Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar) and Prem (Ayushmann Khurrana). Prem gets married to Sandhya due to family pressure, but don’t like her because of her size. Sandhya is not ready to give-up and makes persistent efforts to please her husband. They reach a stage of divorce and then starts the sweet love story of Sandhya and Prem and how they accept each other.

Ayushmann Khurrana has grown as an actor, with his each release, Dum Laga ke Haisha is the most pleasing one. With the right blend of seriousness and comic timing, he has played Prem to perfection. It was a tough role for the debutante Bhumi Pednekar, but she has done wonders as Sandhya. Bhumi makes you fall in love with Sandhya with her sincere acting skills. Sanjay Mishra, the comedy veteran makes you laugh as father of Prem. The other characters are well thought-out and have not disappointed even a bit.

Sharat Katariya, the director of the movie, well known for his writing work in Bheja Fry and Bheja Fry 2, has given a nicely crafted movie after 10ml Love (2010). With low budget, simple story and not so well-established star cast, he has done his best. The dialogues, screen play and performances are top-class. Songs are good enough and likable.

The Bottom Line: Dum Laga ke Haisha is a simple and sweet movie with right blend of humor and entertainment. You will love this with your partner. Worth a Watch!
