Badlapur - Movie Review

Movie Review:

Badlapur’s plot is simple, a story of revenge. Varun Dhawan as Raghu, loses his wife Misha (Yami Gautam) and Child and is out to take revenge with Layak, (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Harman (Vinay Pathak).

Varun Dhawan as Raghu, has given his best performance so far. Moving from a charming guy to an intense role, he has pulled-off an extraordinary performance. Nawazuddin Siddiqui comes up with another stunning performance, after Kick, Gangs of Wasseypur & Lunch Box. He has surely made Layak as character to be remembered the most from this flick. Yami Gautam as Misha, Raghu’s wife looks beautiful in her minimal appearances. Huma Qureshi as Jhimli, done well as love interest of Layak. Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in support role didn’t do bad either.

After Agent Vinod (2012), Johnny Gaddaar  (2007) and Ek Hasina Thi (2004), Badlapur is a master piece from Sriram Raghavani. The storyline is simple, but engaging. Direction, dialogues and performances are excellent. Couple of songs are chart toppers and enjoyable.

The Bottom Line: Overall a simple movie, but nicely presented with excellent performances from the lead cast. Worth a Watch!
